Awesome superhero movies on their way! 🤩🎬

Marvel Studios and DC Films have big surprises for the comic superheroes fans, and we have some knowledge of their confirmed projects in the pipeline to share. The future of their movies coming in the next years is becoming more clear now.

Recently DC signaled release for the long-awaited sequel of Shazam! and Flash. On the other hand, Marvel Studios will begin with Phase Four movies, which has at least six films. DC Films also wants to continue success after the comeback with Joker, whereas Marvel followers cannot wait to see Black Widow and The Eternals in 2020.

Below are upcoming comic movies with confirmed release dates:

‘Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’ — February 7, 2020 — DC Comics

This film is about saving a young girl from an evil crime lord, Black Mask, in Gotham City. The Birds of Prey movie will bring DC’s all supergroups to the big screen as Black Canary, Huntress, and Renee Montoya. Margot Robbie will play the headlined Harley Quinn in film.

Harley Quinn joins up with Black Canary and the rest of the team to save a young girl from Black Mask (Ewan McGregor).

Black Widow â€” May 1, 2020 — Marvel Studios

Since introduced in Iron Man 2 we knew it for a long time that one day, Scarlett Johansson’s character is going to get a movie of its own. Not only that, but it will be the first movie coming straight out of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four.

The story will set between the events of ‘Civil War’ and ‘Infinity War.’ Besides Johansson, the movie will have David Harbour as Alexei/Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as sister Yelena, O-T Fagbenle as Mason, and Rachel Weisz as Melina. The movie will introduce the Taskmaster character. It will be directed by Cate Shorthand.

‘Wonder Woman 1984’ — June 5, 2020 — DC Comics

This fabulous movie is based on the Cold War in 1984. The leading characters Gal Gadot, known as Diana, the princess of Amazon, previously set out to stop World War I with the help of an American pilot (Chris Pine).

The trailer is out. According to Warner bros, Diana Prince comes into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s and finds a formidable foe by the name of the Cheetah.

The Eternals — November 6, 2020 — Marvel Studios

It is going to be the 25th Marvel movie and will be based on the humanoid race The Eternals, created from proto-humans, by god-like aliens known as Celestials who visited the Earth one million years ago.

The movie will feature Angelina Jolie as Thena, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, and Salma Hayek as Ajak among others. Chloe Zhao directs it.

‘The Batman’ — June 25, 2021 — DC Comics

A teaser of the first movie of Batman reboot with brand new actors is released a few days back. This new Batman film will be titled as just ‘The Batman.’ It is directed by Matt Reeves featuring Twilight famed Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The cast includes Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon. We can’t wait for the release of this expected blockbuster.

‘Shazam!’ sequel — April 1, 2022 — DC Comics

Shazam is deemed as successful enough for a 2022 sequel. Why not, as the first part had a 90% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes grossing $364 million globally for DC Films.

Much of the ‘Shazam!’ team will stay. Zachary Levi is going to be the title superhero in the sequel. It will be produced by Peter Safran. Henry Gayden will write the story, and David F. Sandberg will be the director. 

We will update as the sequel’s trailer is released by Warner Bros. For now, here is the trailer of the first Shazam

‘The Flash’ — July 1, 2022 — DC Comics

Finally, The Flash release date is here. The character introduced in the ‘Justice League’ will be played by Ezra Miller. The scarlet speedster comic superhero, with his greatest strength of speed, can even do time travel. According to TheWrap, Andy Muschietti will direct this movie, Barbara Muschietti will produce, and Christina Hodson is the choice to write the script.
