The third installment of Ant-man has been very likely to display on a big screen in the near future.
The same director who has once directed the Ant-Man & Ant-Man and the Wasp, none other than Peyton Reed, now has exclusively signed the third installment of Ant-Man 3 as well, reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The same director is coming up with his same lead cast, including Paul Rudd with the crafty role of Ant-Man. The other crew members of the team are yet to be unveiled. Paul Rudd will reprise his role, who had already urged Marvel fans to start a campaign for Ant-Man 3, on the basis that still cinemagoers want to stare more the Avenger heroes.
As of this writing, the release date has not been decided but it is most likely that the filming will begin at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021, which subsequently hit the cinema by 2022.
Paul Rudd will be seen as Scott Lang, the burglar-turned-hero with the power of petiteness. It will be Rudd’s fifth time out as the character, having surprise appearances, including Captain America and the Avengers.
Peyton Reed has been assigned the directorial responsibilities, who replaced Edgar Wright to helm Ant-Man, late in the first movie’s development process. That movie grossed $519.3 million, and its sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, which Reed was more engaged with, turned to a $622.6 million gross.
Respectively, the production house and distributors, i.e., Marvel Studios and Disney, have previously announced their plan of Phase Four, which included theatrical releases and Disney+ exclusive TV series. By this, several Avengers characters will receive new movies in Marvel’s Phase Four universe, too.
